Thank you for establishing this website and welcoming visitors.  Have enjoyed every segment!  You were our "upper classmates" and were instrumental in our introduction to SFA and beyond.
May you continue to be cornerstones in this journey.
Continued blessings to all.

I really enjoyed our 50th reunion. I wish I could have attended all the events. Sorry I missed the breakfast. It really sounded like fun. My wife, Ptricia, and I really enjoyed the time we had to visit with my 1960 classmaes. I was shocked to see Mrs. Vick in attendance. She was an excellent trig teacher. It was also great to see Mr Burdett, Mr stegall and Mr Ohlendorf. I wish I had more time to visit with each and everyone of you. Hope all of you are well and having a great time in life. I finally retired at the end of January 31, 2012. It feels great! I spent 23 years and 5 months in the energy business with Transco Energy Company which merged with Williams Co in the 90\'s. I spent the last 17 years with the Federal Judiciary in administration.

I hope to see everyone at the next reunion. God bless and keep on plugging away.2C6A

The reunion was a huge success and largely due to the initiative and persistence demonstrated over the years by our class organizers: Deane Smith Hahn, Kay Couger Hamilton, Pat Wilkins Howard, Beverly Barron Lightfoot, Jeanne Peacock Searcy, Kate Oliver Thomas, Lynn Vance and Nancy Nuche Whitlock.  Certainly many others joined in along the way and helped but this was the core group that made it all happen and turn out to be such a great time for all.  I only wish that those who were unable to come could have some way arranged to be here.  As a substitute, I hope they as well as everyone else will visit our class website often as additions are being made regularly, be it photos from the reunion or more memories from our past school days in Bryan.  If you have anything to add, please feel free to do so.

I would be remiss to not mention again those who as underwrites made the Friday evening Bar-B-Q possible.  The following includes the original underwriters as well as several who asked to help during the reunion: Oren Beal, David Bolton, Richard Cook, Benny Ellison, J. C. Fazzino, Kay Cougar Hamilton, Gardner Parker, Norman Poehl, Judy Roundtree Smith, Jimmy Whitley, Charles Yeates, and Lynn Vance.  Because of these underwriters, all bills were comfortably paid for the entire reunion and the SFA Class of 1960 Reserve Fund that has been in existence for several years remains substantially in tact relative to pre-reunion amounts.  This fund will help cover the annual cost of keeping the class website up and active and other essentials until we gather again.

Thanks to all who attended and who worked to make it happen for such an outstanding 50th Reunion.

For those who did not make it to the reunion, you missed having a wonderful time!  Thanks to all those mentioned in Mervin\'s message and to any others that pitched in to help make the event a roaring success.  I know that I am not the only one anxiously waiting for the next reunion; we can\'t wait five more years.  If we all keep our e-mail addresses current and keep in touch,  perhaps we could have some informal get-togethers.  We aren\'t getting any younger!

Cheers to everyone who made the 50th a super success, especially all the attendees, the entertainment committee and the decorating committee on Saturday night, who made it so much fun. My thanks to musician Bobby Clancy for his tempo changing numbers. Someone I know well would not have put foot to floor otherwise. I am still in awe of our cheerleaders, Melva Jo, Sally and JoAnn.

So here are some of my favorite moments:

Coach Ohlendorf and Henry Boxley greeting each other. Ohlendorf  immediately launched into a description of a long ago play. Then came the quiz, “Did you score?” Henry did and then he picked up where Ohlendorf left off.

Henry recollecting Richard Guinn’s visit to his London office, that began with his hearing a secretary say, “Sir, you can’t just walk in there.” Later, Richard amazed London pub crawlers by popping out a bent fender on Henry’s Jaguar with his bare hands. I think Henry explained with  something like, “He’s from Texas.”

Billy Frank Mead explaining that the beautiful tables at Casa Rodriguez came from the County Kitchen. Furthermore, Billy Frank says he and Richard Guinn actually made them.  Who knew they were historically significant.

The manager at Casa Rodriguez scrambling to make sure everyone got served, “They told me 35 not 300!” I’m pretty sure she was happy as soon as she got over her shock,  just as the rest of us were when we discovered the bill had been paid.

George Inglehart trying to figure out how he got lost in B-CS taking Larry Lucas to Ralph Morgan’s Saturday night and then got lost again trying to find his way back to his hotel. Guess that’s what 50 years of change does to a place.

Luci Cedillo Pair explaining why her job at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston is both satisfying and challenging. She’s the financial gatekeeper to the liver transplant program.  Not that any of us ever want to wind up there, but she’s the one who says yea or nay.

Nancy Beard Cochran schmoozing a teacher Saturday morning into letting her into a school building to get the Bronco for use later that night at the Hilton. Thank goodness, as Nancy seemed determined to get it no matter what.

Beverly Scasta Hudson second-guessing herself Saturday night just before the program got started. “Why did I agree to do this?” She recovered and the show went on.

Blackie Cardenas joking Friday night he would not be at Casa Rodriguez the next morning because, “I don’t like Mexican food.” He was there after all along with a whole bunch of people who did like Mexican food, including a few who claimed withdrawal symptoms if they don’t eat it a least once a week. Thanks for the gift of laughter, Blackie.

Love the website. Had a wonderful time at the reunion and would like to use some of your ideas at our 50th next year.
Thanks for letting friends of your class join in.
Thanks to the committee who worked so hard to get this together.  Outstanding job!!!

PS:  I found my car keys locked inside my car!  I appreciated Carolyn and Elliot taking me home to get my extra set.

WOW, what a web site, it was great to see so many  familiar faces from long ago, gee was it really that long ago, nawn not 50 years ago, no way, y\'all can own that if you want but I\'m stickin to being "Plenty Nine" and trying to maintain my youth in what some might call old age! Thanks for the hard work in doing this web site and thanks for the memories, it is wonderful! It seeems like just yesterday I was in my JR. Class play hoping to set the world on fire, but I guess the matches were wet! Did y\'all really treat us so badly as we as freshman? No, it was wonderful to go to school with y\'all and had the fun we did, I finally graduated from Goose Creek High in Charleston, SC and missed my Broncos, we had ugly black and gold colors nothing as beautiful as our green and white, therefore I still claim SFA.
To each of you at SFA I only pray you have a blessed fun filled reuion and wish only the best for each of you and may Our Heavenly Father Always hold you in the palm of him hand. God speed!

I just found your reunion information on my Bryan ISD school site, and it is one of the best websites I\'ve ever seen. Someone sure did a great job. It was wonderful seeing the profiles and reading about all of you. I hope you all have a fantastic time at your reunion. My sister, Barbara, in Denver, went on the site and loved it. Have fun!

Hi, Broncos,

I just learned of your web site, and I think it\'s great. Although I didn\'t begin my sophomore year until after you graduated, I see a few familiar faces out there and, sadly, some among those who have passed on. Our class had an off-year reunion in October, 2009, and we all had a wonderful time. I hope that you all will  also have a wonderful reunion this year, your 50th. Best wishes to you always.

It is had for me to believe 60 years ago we graduated from High School. Time is really flying by. I will do my best to attend our reunion. I work for Luminant Power in Mount Pleasant, Texas and we will be in our annual outage during April and May. If I get to come, it will be only for the day. I\'ll do my best.

I have enjoyed reading the snippets about my classmates, living and departed, and thank the creators of this website for the efforts they made. It is hard to catch up on events of a lifetime, I have little to share, and believe "what\'s said in Vegas stays in Vegas." So I don\'t plan to attend. Have a nice reunion.

Everything is getting to be such a long time ago. I think it was Maek Twain who remarked that the trouble with growing old is, that it continues and continues. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am lucky to be alive. Every day I live is extra.
